About Information Technology

       Department of Information Technology is working to put technology to its highest and best use throughout Dadra and Nagar Haveli Departments/Autonomous Bodies to improve the administration of programmes and services. Providing guidance on technical matters to Departments, vetting IT projects and taking Department on achieving IT Road Map are the basic jobs of Department of Information Technology. Overall the department of Information Technology concentrates over the Core Information technology Infrastructure and e-Governance projects of DietY, including various Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under NeGP, Govt. of India

Dadra & Nagar Haveli e-Governance Society (DNHeGS)

       The prime objective of the Dadra & Nagar Haveli Union Territory e-Governance Society(DNHeGS) is to administer the implementation of e-Governance project for the overall benefit of the citizens and public by setting up the necessary administrative, financial, legal and techical framework, implementation mechanism and resources in the Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Major Projects

  • UT- Data Center
  • UT Data Centre (UT DATA CENTRE) is one of the core infrastructure projects to consolidate services, applications and infrastructure to provide efficient electronic delivery of G2G, G2C and G2B services. The Data Centre is setting up in DNH for UT of DD & DNH

  • UT- WAN
  • UT wide Area Network for DD & DNH is named as Daman and Diu Union Territory Wide Area Network (DDUTWAN & DNHUTWAN), which would aim at providing a reliable, integrated and robust telecommunications infrastructure catering to high speed and high capacity delivery of voice, data and video transmission between all the government departments at DD & DNH

  • e-District
  • e-District Project envisages integrated and seamless delivery of citizen services by the District Administration through automation of workflow, backend digitization, integration of multiple applications of different departments and process reengineering of the participating departments

  • SSDG
  • SSDG project aims to enhance the services provided to the citizens primarily through Common Service Centers (CSCs) and enabling the UT Portal. Overall, it includes the online submission of an application form as an e-Form after completion of the registration process on the portal

  • SSK(Saral Seva Kendra) CSC
  • Common Service Centre (CSC) flagship named as Saral Seva Kendra is a part of ambitious National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). The Saral Seva Kendra have been positioned as front end delivery outlets for delivery of Government as well as private sector services. Currently three SSKs has been operationalized in Daman and one in Diu and providing various Government (G2C) and Business to Citizens (B2C). Following G2C services are delivered to the citizens through SSK.
    G2C Services :

  • Electricity Bill Payment
  • Land Records (7/12 Copy and form 8)
  • Many of the Business services are running at SSK and more Banking and Pan card services will be started very soon.

  • Samay Sudhini Seva
  • UT Administration of Daman & Diu and DNH is providing various services to the citizens in time bound manner under the Samay Sudhini Seva project running in various departments.

  • 125 Services identifies from 22 departments in Daman & Diu.
  • 145 Services identifies from 18 departments in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
