AIMS & OBJECTIVE and functionality of the department: |
- Providing free & compulsory education to all children in rural and urban area.
- In-service training to teachers.
- Academic support to all kind of educational planning & other programmes for improving quality of education of all level.
- Department provide Education through 272 schools in entire UT.
- Making elementary education compulsory for children of 6-14 years.
- Media of instruction in Mother tongue in Primary level Gujarati / Hindi / English / Marathi.
- Providing permission /recognition to start new school /classes
- Recruitment of teachers.
- Implementing centrally sponsored schemes for the students of DNH.
- Selecting Teachers for National Award
